W3C Compliance Design
Some clients asked us about the 3 w3c logos.
Well, here is our explanation: Firstly, W3C is a not for profit internet authority that formulates directions and develops web technologies. In short, W3c is an internet authority. They set the standards for webmasters to follow.
Web sites designed to be W3C compliant have several benefits:
- Load faster since there are no errors when browsed using different browsers. Examples of other browsers that internet users may browse your site includes Mozilla Firefox and text browsers such as Lynx.
- Accessible to more visitors and users who may be visually handicapped. These caetgory of users will not be using Ms internet explorer since they are not able to visually see your site.
- Receive higher search engine ranking. Search engines use many standards and measures to rank web sites. One of their ranking algorithm is to judge whether the designed site uses “CORRECT HTML“.
- Cross browser compatibility. As mentioned earlier, your site may not be viewed properly in less popular browsers if it is not W3C compliant. About 20% of online users do not use internet explorer to browse web sites.
However, not every web design company is even aware of W3C organization. Designers vary greatly in their skill level and prices. At edlinkservices.com, we take pride in producing high quality work that is W3C compliant, yet affordable to a large majority of our clients.
